It is Monday morning, April 23, 2012 and I hope that this post lifts your spirits to all-time highs. All this week I hope to share some of my all-time favorite ones with you! For most salespeople and managers, finding a quote for a particular occasion is a must. For some reason, we all seem to love quotes to "fire us up". For most of my professional career, I have found great comfort in reviewing quotes from most successful people. They have helped me in “framing” meetings and setting the theme for successful campaigns. From time to time, simply re-visiting them have given me a quick booster shot of adrenaline. I hope that you find them as helpful as I have over the years. In addition, if you have a favorite quote that you would like to share, please comment on the blog. Thanks!
“Every morning in Africa, a
gazelle wakes up. It knows it must run
faster than the fastest lion or it will be killed. Every morning a lion wakes up. It must outrun the slowest gazelle or it will
starve to death. It doesn’t matter
whether you are a lion or a gazelle…when the sun comes up, you better be
running”. Author

mistakes when you are blazing new trails, pioneering change and revolutionizing
former ideas...welcome them and be thankful and learn". John
J. Arent
“The key is not to prioritize what's on your schedule, but to
schedule your priorities.” Steven Covey
"It is better to
lead from behind and to put others in front, especially when you celebrate
victory when nice things occur. You take the front line when there is danger.
Then people will appreciate your leadership." Nelson Mandela
“Nothing can stop the man
with the right mental attitude from achieving his goal; nothing on earth can
help the man with the wrong mental attitude. “ Thomas Jefferson
"There
are those who look at things the way they are, and ask why... I dream of things
that never were, and ask why not?" Robert
Kennedy
“Honesty
is the best policy”. Benjamin
Franklin
“A general is just as good or just as bad as the troops under his
command make him”. General Douglas MacArthur
“The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments
of comfort, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy”. Martin Luther King, Jr.
“You can't shake hands with a clenched
fist.” Indira
Gandhi
“Inaction
breeds doubt and fear. Action breeds confidence and courage. If you want to
conquer fear, do not sit home and think about it. Go out and get busy”. Dale Carnegie
I will publish an additional listing of quotes tomorrow. I hope that you find these energizing and that they are helpful to you in your future endeavors!
